Inside Squarespace, head to Settings → Advanced → Code Injection. Paste the FastBots snippet into the Header field and click Save. Refresh your site and the chat icon should appear in the bottom-right corner. You only need to do this once — the widget then runs on every page automatically.
+
To use Code Injection across the whole site, Squarespace requires their Business plan or higher. If you're on a lower tier, you can still set up a FastBots bot and share it through a direct chat link, but you won't be able to embed the widget on every page.
+
Not natively. The chatbot can answer questions about your services and packages, then point the visitor at your Squarespace Scheduling link or capture their preferred time and contact details. For an actual calendar booking, the visitor finishes on the Squarespace booking page or your team follows up.
+
You can re-crawl your site any time from the FastBots dashboard. On the Business plan and above, Auto Retrain can refresh selected pages daily, weekly or monthly, so price changes or new service pages get picked up without you remembering to retrain.
+
Yes. You can set the widget colour, the chat icon, the welcome message, the placeholder text and the suggested questions. On Premium and above, or with the branding add-on, you can also remove the 'Powered by FastBots' line.
+
You set a fallback message — something like 'I'm not sure about that, but I can pass your details to the team.' The bot then offers the lead form. Every unanswered question is logged in Chat History so you can add the missing information later.

Yes, on the Business plan ($89/month) and above. You enable Live Chat, set your availability hours, and when a visitor wants a human, the conversation appears in your Live Chat dashboard for someone on your team to claim and reply in real time.
+
Yes — the chat widget runs on top of your existing site, so your contact forms, scheduling links and shop pages all keep working as normal. Most owners use the chatbot for quick questions and lead capture, and leave the booking or checkout flow to Squarespace.
+
The free plan lets you build and test a bot — 1 chatbot, 50 messages per month, no credit card required. For a live customer-facing widget on Squarespace you'll usually want the Essential plan ($39/month) for higher message limits and Zapier/Make workflows. Business ($89/month) adds Live Chat, Auto Retrain and Email Replies.
+
Yes — through Zapier or Make. When the lead form is submitted, FastBots can trigger a workflow that sends the details into Google Sheets, your CRM, Mailchimp or any tool those platforms connect to. The workflow runs after the chat captures the lead, not mid-conversation.
