FastBots installs on BigCommerce as a widget through Script Manager. It's an installation route, not a deep data integration — the chatbot doesn't read your product catalogue or order data through the BigCommerce API. It answers from the content it was trained on (your published storefront pages).
+
Not on BigCommerce. The chatbot can capture the order number and email and pass it to your team, but it can't pull live order status or live inventory from BigCommerce. If that level of live lookup matters, Shopify is currently the only platform where FastBots has that deeper, OAuth-based integration.

In FastBots, open your chatbot, click Deploy, scroll to Add to a Website, and copy the script. In BigCommerce, go to Storefront → Script Manager, click Create Script, set Location to Header, Pages to All Pages, paste the code and save. Refresh your store and the widget appears.

No — and we wouldn't pitch it that way. The bot handles the repetitive shipping, returns and product questions that fill up your inbox. Complex issues, complaints and edge cases still need a human, which is why Live Chat handover is part of the product on Business plan and above.
+
You configure a fallback response — typically asking the shopper to leave their email and the question, which gets sent to your team. The Knowledge Assistant (Business plan and above) also surfaces unanswered questions so you can improve the bot's training over time.

Yes, through Zapier or Make. When the chatbot captures a lead — wholesale enquiry, restock request, custom order — the workflow can push that data into Klaviyo, Mailchimp, HubSpot, a Google Sheet or wherever else you keep leads. These are workflow integrations, not native ones.

There's a free plan with 1 chatbot and 50 messages per month — enough to test on your store. Paid plans start at $39/month (Essential), which unlocks integrations including Zapier and Make. Live Chat handover, Auto Retrain and Email Replies are on the Business plan at $89/month.
+
The widget loads asynchronously, so it shouldn't block your page from rendering. It behaves like any other third-party script added through Script Manager. If you have specific performance requirements, test it on a staging theme first.
+
On Business plan and above, Auto Retrain refreshes selected pages on a daily, weekly or monthly schedule. On lower plans, you retrain manually whenever you make a meaningful change — usually a one-minute job from the Sources tab.
+
Yes. You can change colours, the chat icon, the welcome message, suggested questions, the lead form copy and the thank-you message. On Premium and above, you can also remove the "Powered by FastBots" label entirely.
